Due to current environmental regulations and the phase-out of the relevant exemptions for mercury-containing fluorescent lamps under the EU RoHS framework and corresponding Swiss regulations, LICO no longer offers obsolete mercury-containing fluorescent tubes and lamps.
For many existing LICO / BIG EYE round- & BIG EYE 2 rectangular magnifying lamps a modern LED replacement and upgrade solution is available.
Instead of replacing the complete magnifying lamp, existing units can therefore often be converted to LED technology. This provides a practical solution for keeping proven equipment in operation while replacing the obsolete fluorescent lighting system.
