Skinner HST Testers - for On Site and / or Table testing
HST Tester Advantages:

Disadvantages of testing with a Heat gun:
- Only practical at low heights (most detectors are mounted on ceiling)
- Does not provide indication of actual trip point
- power cords must be carried around
- High surface temperature (burn hazard)
- High temperature (destructive, will permanently shift sensor set point)
The HST tester consists of a special heater chamber and control unit designed to be placed on top of a long reaching pole which is then raised up to the detector to be tested and / or can be used also as a table tester combined with the necessary instruments.
Applications:
- Measuring functionality of Kidde / Fenwal DAF detectors: allows to measure the Rate of Rise and Nominal switching temperatures of the detectors in a non-destructive way

Important Notes!
As with all devices that are operated with Li-ion batteries, it should be noted that the capacity of Li-ion batteries may be reduced over time depending on and proper charging. Charging of Li-ion rechargeable batteries, which can impair the operation of the device over time. Experience has shown that the additional spare battery and/or a suitable mobile, external 230V power supply ensures much more stable on-site operation of the test device. Please ask LICO about the current conditions and availability.
Other conditions may also restrict the use of the test device, depending on the current utilisation and local conditions. Customised solutions and modifications are only possible according to actual cost!
According to our experience, we believe that this device can provide an additional service for existing- and new customers to offer on-site testing of Kidde/Fenwal detectors and/or LICO HDL units.
